Lexington, KY-  5.24.09-Hi everyone, thanks for checking in.  I've played very well through the first two-thirds of the the mid-west swing on the Hooters Tour.  Two weeks ago I made the cut and had a so-so weekend just outside of St. Louis, MO.  I was lucky enough to have my mom and dad come down for the weekend and my dad has his first professional caddying experience!  He did fantastic work on the course, but I think its a good thing he has a steady day job...

Last week I traveled to Evansville, IN and had my best finish of the year.  I was co-leader after a first round with a 7-under 64.  I followed that with rounds of 71-68-64 for a 17-under total and a 17th place finish.  The final round 64 included a 28 on the front nine (check out the scorecard here), with 7 birdies and 2 pars!

I'm also lucky enough to have my good friend and former college teammate Chas Wagner caddying for me right now.  He did a fantastic job in Evansville and I'm looking forward to more good things in Lexington this week.

Be sure to check out www.hooterstour.com for updates!

Southern Georgia- Unfortunately I was unsuccessful in two attempts to qualify for events on the Nationwide Tour the past two weeks.  Last week I shot a 5 under par 67 and missed a playoff by a shot for the Athens Regional Foundation Classic in Athens, GA.  It was a solid round and a good lesson that you can never make enough birdies.  This morning I missed a spot in the South Georgia Classic in Valdosta, GA.  This week I'll pack up my life in Orlando and make my way back up North for the summer.  The schedule is completely updated and as detailed as I can make it right now.  Please let me know if any of you will be in the area during any of those tournaments!

Orlando, FL- After having my inbox filled with requests for an update (thank you Smitty) here were go!
The last two weeks were very productive out on the Hooters Tour.  After missing the cut in Amelia Island due to a wild ruling
concerning an "evironmentally sensitive area", I finished in 22nd place at the I-40 Rock Barn Classic and earned $2,066.00.  After a few weeks of intense practice I'll hit the road again in early April for some Nationwide Monday Qualifiers and a Hooters event or two.

Orlando, FL- HAPPY NEW YEAR from waddellgolf.com.  Once again my sincere apologies for the lack of updates.  The past month has been one of ups and down out on the Hooters Winter Series.  At times I've played very well only to struggle down the stretch, or have had tough starts and managed to salvaged a decent round.  All in all, I'm very much looking forward to a successful 2009.
In 2009 I have a few updates for the websites.  The first is a video tab on the left hand side.  Here I'll be putting up swing videos, short game videos, and maybe even a few mini lessons if there is enough interest.  Secondly, I've added a tab where I'll be putting up some short stories about little things I've encountered out on minies.  These could range from a pressure putt in a money match at Orange Tree, to some of the characters I've run into out on tour.
All in all, thanks for checking in and I look forward to making 2009 a great year.

Haines City, FL- 11.15.08- Finished in a tie for 26th place in the Diamondback Winter Series event on the Hooters Tour.  Earned $999.00 for the three days of work and am looking forward to playing next week at the Harmony Golf Preserve Winter Series event on the Hooters Tour.

Orlando, FL- 11.7.08- Hi everyone, thanks for checking in at waddellgolf.com.  Sorry that I have been bad about keeping the site updated, but it sure has been a busy month.  Unfortunately, I didn't advance through PGA Tour Qualifying.  This winter I'll be playing consistently on the Hooters Tour Winter Series.  These are three day events conducted around the Orlando area.  They are well run events with good fields and a nice payout.  I'm looking to have lots of success this winter.  The schedule has been posted, be sure to check back for red numbers!

Charlottesville, VA- 10.5.08- Waddellgolf.com is pleased to announce that Charlie has begun a working relationship with highly regarded sports psychologist Dr. Bob Rotella.  This past weekend was spent in Charlottesville, VA at Doc's house going over Charlie's goals and general mental strenghts and weaknesses.  It was a very productive session which will certainly pay dividends on the course!

Choctaw, MS- 9.26.08-  Shot a two-over par 73 in the second round of the Hilton Garden Inn Classic at the Pearl River Resort and missed the 36 hole cut by a single stroke.  It has been a frustrating road trip in terms of making cuts, but every aspect of my game is solid and I am primed at making a good run at Q-school next month.

Choctaw, MS- 9.25.08-  Shot a very solid one-under par 70 in the first round of the Hilton Garden Inn Classic at the Pearl River Resort.  The course is in great shape and the resort is taking great care of all the players.  This is truly a top-notch event.  Click here to follow the action.

Augusta, GA- 9.19.08-  Struggled in the second round of the Kandy Waters Memorial Classic and could only manage a 76.  The 144 total will not be good enough to make the 36 hole cut.  Off to Choctaw, MS for the Hilton Garden Inn Classic at the Pearl River Resort.

Augusta, GA- 9.18.08-  Shot a one-under par 69 in the first round of the Kandy Waters Memorial Classic at Bartram Trail Golf Club.  Currently sitting in a tie for 85th place with the second round coming tomorrow morning.  Click here to see my scorecard from today's round.

Elgin, SC- 9.12.08-  Shot a one-under par 71 in the second round of the Capital Chevrolet and Hyundai Classic at Woodcreek Farms Golf Club in Elgin, SC.  Unfortunate the three-under par total of 141 was not good enough to make the 36 hole cut.  Off to Augusta, GA for next weeks Kandy Waters Memorial Classic at Bartram Trail Golf Club.

Elgin, SC- 9.11.08-  Sitting in a tie for 49th place after a solid two-under par 70 in the first round of the Capital Chevrolet and Hyundai Classic at Woodcreek Farms Golf Club in Elgin, SC.  Click here to follow the action round by round.

Mt. Pocono, PA-8.18.08-  Did not qualify for the Northeast Pennsylvania Classic on the Nationwide Tour.  Played hard, but ultimately shot 73 and will not earn a spot in the field.  Best of luck to Bucknell Golf Club head professional Brian Kelly who will be teeing it up this week thanks to a solid finish in a Philadelphia PGA Section event.

Greenwich, CT-8.13.08-  www.waddellgolf.com has officially lauched on the world wide web!  This website will give you up to the second information on the life and career of future PGA Tour star Charlie Waddell.  At waddellgolf.com you will be able to access Charlie's upcoming schedule, tournament results, equipment information, and anecdotes from 'life on tour.'  Stay tuned for more information in the coming days!
